My name is Annabelle Rankin and I represent ‘Australians All’ because I was
the first woman to hold a federal ministerial portfolio. I was Minister for Housing in
Prime Minister Harold Holt’s government. Then, from 1971 to 1974 I served as
Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand, the first woman to hold a top-level
diplomatic post.
