My name is Grace Munro and I represent ‘Golden soil, wealth for toil’ because,
after the death of one of my own children, I devoted myself to improving health care for
country women and children. In 1922 I helped to organize and publicize the conference
which formally established the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of New South Wales.
I was elected president, and I travelled throughout country NSW and Queensland speaking to
country women, and helping them to establish CWA branches.
