My name is Sidney Kidman and I represent ‘Golden soil, wealth for toil’
because I controlled the largest cattle empire in Australia. By the end of World War One,
I controlled cattle station country that was larger in area than Tasmania. In fact it was
nearly as large as Victoria. One of my stations stretched from the Gulf of Carpentaria to
Broken Hill and into South Australia, and another ranged from Fitzroy Crossing to the
Flinders Ranges.
